Our in-house Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling personnel utilize the latest version of Primavera to effectively create a Master Project Schedule. A preliminary schedule is developed based on our review of the project drawings with our team and the owner’s representative. From there, we add relevant data from other project participants — end-users, owner-furnished equipment, inspections and approvals, interim and final relocation/move management, and commissioning — to produce a Master Schedule that is critical to establishing construction sequencing and allocating swing space at the right time.
Our schedule is a living tool, reviewed with the entire project team on a weekly basis through construction, followed by an occupancy schedule that allows owners to coordinate possession in a timely manner. When possible, schedules are managed proactively during design so potential problems are identified — and resolved — before they adversely affect the overall timeline.
There is nothing more important than a fully coordinated set of construction documents that are clear, biddable and buildable. We help clients accomplish this by participating in the completion of contract documents through reviews with our internal team as well as a select group of contractors, vendors, specialty consultants and peer reviewers.
Our constructability review team is comprised of registered architects, professional engineers, senior planners, sustainable design professionals and CM professionals with commensurate design-review experience. Together with the architect’s creativity, we collaborate to provide constructability assurances that limit cost escalation and schedule delay — identifying omissions, ambiguities and discrepancies in design early to minimize costly change orders during construction.

Our project management team conducts quantity take-offs via several sources, solicits supplier quotations, selects vendors on quality and price, and issues purchase orders — a process managed and fully documented by our procurement team, with copies routed to field offices and accounting for invoicing.
Our inspection service is a technical control, test, assessment and approval mechanism used to certify that purchased and ordered products and services comply with national standards, codes and customer technical specifications, both during and after construction. We evaluate vendors on technical auditing, expediting capability, client communication and proper shipping documentation — verifying that vendors and sub-vendors are capable of fulfilling purchase order requirements before award, and expediting deliveries afterward to resolve bottlenecks and confirm material, fabrication and shipping status.
As a standard procedure, FTR NV maintains rigorous document control and clear lines of communication across every phase of the project — monitoring Requests for Information (RFIs), documenting progress and costs, and running weekly and monthly project meetings. Using Expedition Professional and related software, we track document revisions, authorship and view history, and provide electronic filing and search so only individuals with the appropriate permissions can view or revise project records.
FTR NV and its key consultants are well versed in Building Information Modeling (BIM), with in-house BIM coordinators dedicated to planning, training and troubleshooting projects as they move through the BIM process. We use BIM to generate 3D site and building studies, day-lighting and energy analysis, and full material/object quantification — catching conflicts between structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines during design, long before they become costly field problems.
